Hypoallergenic Frames
Our acetate (plastic) styles are made of the best acetate in the world: Mazzucchelli Zyl. It is made from cotton fiber and colored with vegetable extracts and minerals (click here to see video). In fact, the acetate used in our frames, is the same as that used by some of the top designer brands in the optical industry - sometimes, they're even the exact same colors! Besides shape and design, a major difference between our frames and theirs? Their frames typically retail for well over $300.
We build our product with appreciation for traditional quality utilizing modern design and technology. Our hearts hearken back to the days when frames were built to last, and so we use 5 barrel hinges on almost all of our frame designs. We also use real riveted style hinges that are mounted in the traditional method to give the frames a stronger structure and richer look. Most of our frame styles feature 45° angle mitered temples which contribute to the frame strength and give it a refined finish.
Our retailers are astonished by the quality and amazed by the price. They often comment that "this product is too good" and "this is better than some of our $300 frames".
